An ornate frame can remain empty or try framing something other than pictures. Here is my keyholder framed with a beautiful vintage frame.
The photo below shows how I took an ugly section of wall (there are two necessary switches, my thermostat and Fire buzzer, which made this wall at my entrance less than attractive. A few empty frames around those pieces along with some framed photos and it is turned into a gallery wall. Now, the first thing people notice is not all the ugly switches!
If you have a frame, enough mirror and some handles, it is easy to pull together quickly. I had pieces of an broken mirror lying around and wanted to use it. I measured and cut the mirror with a glass cutter using a drop of oil to make it cut cleanly. The mirror was glued in the frame and holes drilled for the handle screws. Then you end up with a reflective display tray. I use it to display my vases sprayed with Mirrored Effect.
